Despite needing throat surgery the singer Adele has topped the Sunday Times Rich List for young British musicians having seen her wealth increase by £14 million to a whopping £20 million in just 12 months.
The 23 year old artist who was born in London has had amazing success with her second album “21” which has sold more than 20 million copies around the world.
Other young British artists featuring on the list include Jessie J who has a fortune of £5m and Leona Lewis who has a fortune of £12 million. Jessie J is now a coach on the current talent show “The Voice”. Her debut album “Who You Are” has some almost a million copies.
Leona Lewis, Jessie J and Adele all went to school together in Croydon.
Males on the list include Craig David and JLS. JLS have made their way onto the rich list for the first time with each member of the boy band having a fortune of £5 million.
